Gina lee - Founder and Educational Consultant
Before Gina was an independent college counselor, she was a brand strategist working with Procter & Gamble, AT&T, and Citibank across Asia and the US, figuring out what makes stories stick. She learned the most powerful stories aren’t invented. They’re excavated.
That instinct deepened through every chapter that followed. After completing the UCLA College Admissions Certificate program, mentoring students, and serving on educational boards, she became the first Director of College Counseling and Academic Dean at American University Preparatory School, a newly founded international boarding school. She built a comprehensive college counseling program from the ground up. Students in the inaugural class were admitted to Stanford, MIT, Bryn Mawr, and schools across the selectivity spectrum.
And as a parent of two sons who attended Harvard and one who is at Emory University, she’s lived the process from the family side—the anxiety, the hope, and very real stakes. Today, she runs a deliberately high-touch boutique practice guided by one belief: the best college applications aren’t packaged or reverse-engineered but built from who a student actually is. That work takes time, trust, and honest reflection.
“I love witnessing personal transformations through relationship-building, a changed mindset, and a winning attitude, regardless of the limited resources or how big the dream might be.”
DUHEE LEE - college Counselor, Research & Project Pod program
THE COUNSELOR WHO LEARNED TO SEE WHAT COULD BE.
Duhee Lee spent his career envisioning what a project could become, first as a registered architect leading projects valued at over $1 billion, then as Director of Asset Management and Director of Corporate Real Estate overseeing portfolios. He graduated with a BS from MIT, where he also played varsity ice hockey, and holds a Master of Architecture from the Harvard Graduate School of Design.
From 2020-2022, he served as an Educational Counselor for MIT, conducting applicant interviews and submitting candidacy reports to the Admissions Office. What he experienced inspired him to begin working directly with students. Today, he brings those same envisioning skills to college and career counseling, specializing in STEM, environmental science, architecture, design, and business. He also leads interview preparation, research, and project advising, and career counseling for individuals in transition.
Julie K. - College Counselor
Julie has been counseling students since 2011, and guided students through every stage of the college planning journey—from early high school preparation to the development of compelling and authentic college applications. She works closely with students to help them identify their strengths, explore their interests, and make thoughtful decisions about academics, extracurricular involvement, and college selection.
Julie’s advising approach emphasizes long-term planning and personal growth. Rather than focusing solely on admissions outcomes, she helps students develop the skills, independence, and self-awareness that will serve them well in college and beyond.
Julie holds a Master of Education from the University of Southern California and is a Professional Member of the Independent Educational Consultants Association (IECA). She has experience advising students applying to universities throughout the United States as well as universities in the United Kingdom.
Through personalized guidance and mentorship, Julie supports students in presenting their most authentic and thoughtful applications while helping families navigate the admissions process with greater confidence and less stress.

Alexis J. - Creative Content Specialist
Alexis has been writing poetry, prose, and screenplays since she was in the second grade, and was convinced she’d be the next Steven Spielberg by age twelve. Though her goals have changed since then, her creativity has never stopped growing.
Apart from her own screenplays, novels, poetry, and other works, she has expanded her scope to include marketing campaign concepts, advertising, social media copy, blogs, essays, and more. Her strengths lie in helping others find their authentic voice, or as her company tagline puts it, “Find your way with words.” She assists others in adding nuance and depth to their work, drawing on years of experience working with multicultural groups and content creators. With a BA in Film Production and an MFA in Creative Writing (coming May 2026), Alexis can work across multiple areas of the arts and entertainment and support creators.
Though she was born in Arizona and spent most of her life in the Southwest U.S., Alexis now lives and works in Los Angeles, where she is devoted to inspiring her fellow creatives by collaborating with local arts initiatives and nonprofit organizations. She also regularly leads writing workshops for young adults and lifelong learners. Maybe she’ll see you at the next one!
